The breakdown

Eight metrics, not one vibe.

A single number tells you nothing you can act on. LOOKSMAXBRO splits your face into the eight things you can actually work — and shows you which one is holding the rest back.

Jawline7.8
Eyes8.1
Skin6.2
Symmetry7.5
Cheekbones7.1
Nose7.3
Lips6.9
Hair7.0

The Glow Cycle

A rating is a screenshot. A cycle is a plan.

Scanning your face every day is noisy and demoralising — the number moves on lighting, not on you. Once a month kills momentum. Three days is the shortest honest gap: long enough for a real change, short enough to stay in the fight.

01 / SCAN

Front and side

Your iPhone maps your face — landmarks, proportions, symmetry, skin — and a model that runs on the device itself returns your Overall, your Potential, and the eight metrics behind them.

02 / GRIND

Three days of work

You get a plan aimed at your weakest metric — skincare, mewing, sleep, water — and a 30-second daily check-in to log it. No camera, no guilt. The streak is the point.

03 / RE-SCAN

Proof, or nothing

Day three: before and after, side by side, with the delta on every metric and the habit that earned it. Skin +0.3 → skincare, 3 of 3 days. Then the cycle starts again.

Privacy

Your face is scored on your phone. Full stop.

Every other app in this category uploads your face to a server. We didn't build one. The model ships inside the app and runs on your iPhone's own silicon — which means there is no bucket of selfies anywhere to leak, subpoena, or sell. Here is the whole ledger, including the part most sites leave out.

Stays on your iPhone

  • Your photos. Kept in the app's private, encrypted storage. Never written to your camera roll, never uploaded, and excluded from your iCloud backup.
  • The face scan itself. Landmarks, head pose and depth are computed on device, used for the one score, and thrown away — they are never stored at all.
  • The model. Bundled in the app. Scoring works in airplane mode — try it.
  • Your scores and check-ins. Stored locally on your device.

Never happens

  • No account. No email, no password, no phone number. Ever.
  • No server. There is no LOOKSMAXBRO backend. Your photo has nowhere to go even if we wanted it to.
  • No face recognition. We never try to identify you, and we build no faceprint that could.
  • No ads, no ad ID, no tracking you across other apps.

The honest part

Two things do leave your phone, and we would rather you hear it from us. First: anonymous product analytics (Amplitude) — how far you got in the app, and a coarse, bucketed version of your score, so we can tell whether the thing works. No photo, no landmarks, no name. Second: anything you tap Share on. The Compare card ships with your photo switched off by default; the time-lapse is your face by definition, so it only ever moves when you send it. FAQ

Straight answers.

Is my face really never uploaded?

Correct. There is no LOOKSMAXBRO server to upload it to — the scoring model is bundled inside the app and runs on your iPhone's Neural Engine. The only way a photo of you leaves the device is if you tap Share yourself. You can verify this: put the phone in airplane mode and scan. It works.

How accurate is the score?

The model is trained on two public research datasets of faces rated by human panels, and it predicts how such a panel would rank a face. That is what it is — a statistical echo of other people's taste, learned from a few thousand faces. It is not an objective measure of you, and it is not a medical or psychological assessment. The datasets it learned from carry their raters' biases, so the model does too: we measure that per group instead of hiding behind one average, and it does not always come out well. Use the score as a training signal, not a verdict.

What is the Potential score?

Overall is where your face scores today. Potential is where the model puts the same face with the things you can actually change — skin, hair, body fat, grooming, sleep — moved to their realistic best. The gap between the two is the part worth working on, and it is what the Glow Cycle is aimed at.

Why three days?

Because a face doesn't change in a day, but your lighting does. Scan daily and you measure the weather, not yourself — the number bounces and you quit. Three days is long enough for a real change to clear the noise, short enough that you're still paying attention.

Do I need a subscription?

The scan is free. The numbers are not. Your Overall, your Potential and the eight metrics are shown blurred until you subscribe — and we would rather you read that here than discover it after you've scanned your face. What you get without paying: the Glow Cycle plan, the daily check-ins, your streak, your photo history and the time-lapse export. What the subscription buys is every number this app worked out about your face, and the per-metric deltas each cycle. It renews automatically, the price is always shown before you buy, and you cancel in your Apple settings in two taps. Full terms are here.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Erase all data wipes every photo, score, check-in and streak from your phone in one tap. Deleting the app does the same. Everything LOOKSMAXBRO holds about you lives on your iPhone, so there is no copy on a server for you to come back and ask us about — and none for anyone else to ask us for either.
