These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the LOOKSMAXBRO iOS app (the "App"), operated by LOOKSMAXBRO ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

1What LOOKSMAXBRO is — and what the score means

LOOKSMAXBRO scans your face on your device and returns an Overall score, a Potential score, and eight facial metrics, then gives you a repeating 30-day program of daily, evidence-graded habits and a weekly re-scan, aimed at improving them.

You should understand exactly what that number is. It is produced by a machine-learning model trained on public research datasets of faces that were rated by panels of human volunteers. The model predicts how such a panel would have ranked your photo. That is all it can do. It follows that:

• the score is a statistical echo of other people's taste, learned from a few thousand faces — it is not an objective, universal, or scientific measure of attractiveness, and no such measure exists;
• the datasets carry the biases of the people who rated them, and so, unavoidably, does the model — we measure and publish this rather than pretend otherwise;
• the score depends on lighting, angle, camera and expression as well as on your face;
• it is not a medical, dermatological, psychological, or diagnostic assessment, and must not be used as one, or relied on for any health, employment, educational, or other significant decision.

Use it as a mirror with a number on it and a reason to build a habit. Do not use it as a verdict on yourself. If the way you feel about your appearance is affecting your health, please talk to a doctor rather than to an app.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. The App is rated 16+ and is not intended for children.

3Your face, and acceptable use

By using the App you confirm that:

• you scan only your own face;
• you do not scan anyone else, and in particular never a child — the App is built to score the person holding the phone;
• you do not use the App to rate, rank, mock, or harass any other person, whether through a shared card or otherwise;
• you do not reverse-engineer, decompile, extract the bundled model from, or otherwise tamper with the App, and you do not try to game it by scanning a photograph, a mask, or a face on a screen.

We may restrict or terminate access where these Terms are broken. Because your account is anonymous and holds no identifying information, in practice this is enforced through these Terms and the App Store rather than by an identity-based ban list.

4Licence

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes. The App, its brand, its design, and the scoring model remain ours.

Your photos remain yours. We never receive them, so we ask for no rights over them at all — there is no licence to your content in these Terms, because we have no use for one.

5Subscriptions and payment

Scores are a paid feature: your Overall, your Potential and the eight metric scores are shown blurred until you subscribe. We would rather say that plainly here than have you discover it after the scan. Any free trial is Apple's own introductory offer, shown on the purchase screen before you confirm — the App itself grants no trial period.

Free, with no subscription: your daily habit plan, your progress photos and the time-lapse export, three starter guides, and the tools to manage and delete your data. The subscription unlocks the rest — the numbers (Overall, Potential, all eight metrics), the full 30-day program, points and streaks, and the per-metric deltas each week.

• Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store and charged to your Apple Account. We never see or handle your payment details.
• The price and the billing period are always shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. If a free trial is offered, its length is shown there too, and you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel first.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or from the link inside the App's own Settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription — you must cancel it with Apple.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple's policies. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase, but if something went wrong, write to us and we will help you take it up with Apple.

6What you share

You can share a Compare card or a time-lapse of your scans. That is your choice and your content: the App never posts anything on your behalf, and the Compare card leaves your photo off unless you switch it on. Once you have sent something somewhere, it is out of our hands and the receiving service's rules apply.

7Privacy

Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: the scan runs on your device, your photos and facial measurements never leave it, and the only data on our server is an anonymous account and your progress.

7aYour account

The App creates an anonymous account for you automatically on first launch, so your course progress, daily-plan history and points can survive a reinstall or a new phone. It has no name, email or password. You may optionally link it with Sign in with Apple to carry your progress across your devices; this shares no name or email with us.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which removes your synced progress and points from our live systems immediately and revokes its sign-in tokens; short-term encrypted backups are purged within about four weeks (see the Privacy Policy). We may also suspend or terminate an account where these Terms are breached or where required by law. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an App Store subscription (section 5) or erase the data still on your device (section 11).

8Availability and changes to the App

We may update, change, or discontinue features. The scoring model may be improved over time; when it changes, scores from a new model are not directly comparable with old ones, and the App will not present a change of model as if it were a change in your face.

9Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any score is accurate, or that following the program will produce any particular result.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, or for any decision you make on the basis of a score. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it, which erases the data on your device; to also remove the anonymous account and progress from our server, use Settings → Delete account first (see section 7a and the Privacy Policy). We may suspend access where these Terms are breached or where required by law.

12Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Changes take effect when posted here, with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept them.
